Go wild about animals this summer at the Dallas Arboretum! This camp is an extension of last year's popular Creature Feature Camp. Each day children will explore the fascinating world of a different garden critter through mini walks, stories, snacks and crafts. Week of August 4, afternoons. Age: 4 yrs - 6yrs Date: 8/4/2008 Time: 12:30pm - 3:30pm Fee: $95 or $90 for Members. $95.00 | Five days of party fun at the Arboretum! Each day will have a different party theme. Children will love making party crafts, going on hunts in our gardens and playing games. Party themes include P.J. Party, Beach Party, Safari Party, Wild West Party and Garden Party. Each day is packed full of activities. Design a Native American coil pot, create a wall pocket and make a decorative mosaic tile among other projects. If you are into science, this is the camp for you! Each day is focused on a different area of life, earth or physical science and is action-packed with lots of hands-on experiments and activities. Explore magnets and electricity, experiment with volcanoes and design a flying rocket. Each day is filled with games, indoor and outdoor experiments and activities you can take home. This is the camp you have been waiting for! How will you survive this extreme Arboretum adventure? Challenges include working with teammates to build a solar oven to cook your lunch, build a shelter out of nature materials and race other teams to navigate the Arboretum with a map and compass.
